Abstract Extravagance is an important concept in the economic and moral system of the Holy Quran. Muslim lexicographers have defined extravagance mainly as excess (against moderation); This is while some uses of extravagance cannot be explained with this meaning. The main question of this research is what are the semantic components of extravagance based on the etymological method? From the combination of the meanings of these two articles in Quranic Arabic, there are two important semantic components of "eating/consuming" and "greed, craving and excitement" in the Quranic article Sarf, which by considering these components can be used This article was mentioned in the Holy Quran.

Abstract Based on the cognitive theory of metaphor, abstract concepts are understood based on experiential concepts. There are many evidences of this way of conceptualization in the Holy Quran. The frequency of the word faith in the Quran shows the central role of faith in spiritual life. The works and manifestations of faith are one of the most important aspects of faith, which are emphasized a lot in the Quran. In the current research, 23 verses related to works of faith in 9 areas of origin have been studied with the aim of analyzing the conceptualization pattern of faith in the Qur'an. Studies show that name-mappings such as "faith is a white face", "faith is the guidance of the heart", "faith is salvation from fire", "faith is a profitable business", "faith is a light running in the forward and right direction of believers to It is towards heaven", "faith is guidance to the straight path" and "faith is the exit from darkness to light" have been proposed for the metaphorical conceptualization of the works of faith. Also, the schemas of the place and the vessel are also used to illustrate the dignity and benefit of divine mercy due to faith.
